    The standard bearer

    If this pedal is good enough for John Mayer, Trey, et al., it’s good enough for me and you. Don’t undervalue the daisy chain capability either... quieter than using a regular “1 spot” - AND IT JUST WORKS. It tunes your guitar. And powers other pedals. But most important, it tunes your guitar. Most important pedal on my board. On anyone’s board. The TU-3 unit is probably great too, but again, if the TU2 is good enough for the pros, it’s good enough for us.

    DOA

    Finally tried it yesterday and it will not stay on. Before you can get tuned up, it turns off! These are great tuners, this one is just broken. They are not true bypass but have a 2 transistor latching circuit. Plugging it into 18v will blow one or both transistors. I imagine that is what happened.

    Great pedal

    I already had other tuner pedals but never really satisfied with them. I knew that the tu-2 had a good reputation and that Boss had sell thousands of it. Now that I've tried it, I know why. It is tuning with great precision, offers some good options, super solid and the fact that you can use it as power supply makes my pedalboard less messier. Very happy with this one, it will never move from my rig.

    Must have utility pedal

    It's a handy item to have on your pedalboard. Clear LED lights make seeing your tuning easy. Different modes give you different options in tuning your guitar. It's a strong Boss pedal, so you know it won't break anytime soon. The only nitpick is that it can be super sensitive when tuning your guitar so it's hard to find that sweet spot, but I guess that's a good thing if you want to be perfectly in tune.

    Do your open mic host a favor and use one of these!

    In space, no one can hear you tune! Use the output jack instead of the bypass jack if you are tuning while amplified. No one wants to hear you tune, least of all the sound engineer who has heard that little song a million times. Helps the player appear professional and considerate.
