    Excellent Starting Mix

This is a great tasting all around starter blend that gets you in the ball park. I'd suggest you have seasonings on hand so you can tweak it to your liking. The seasoning packets out there usually base their mix on how much heat is in it, ex. Mild / Hot but they leave out other things you may be interested in. I'm not so much looking for heat as I am more herbs and fennel seed and such. I suggest you have on hand garlic / onion powder, fresh Italian seasoning and fennel seed to start with, salt and pepper will be a given. The point of making your own sausage is to create something you can't find in a store and save money doing it. Like I said consider this a starting point then make it your own.

  • Goes good with deer burger

Goes great with Plan deer 🦌 burger. I took 2 teaspoons and a pound and a half of deer burger added some roasted garlic herb. Then rolled it into meatballs put a little more garlic herb on top. 350 degrees for 35 minutes, perfect! No gamy taste at all.
