    Plastic screw thread gauge best use is for a paperweight in a windless area

    I bought this gauge thinking it would allow me to identify the threads on small taps. Using plastic gauge of the thickness of this one is useless as the tap being measured cuts its own thread. The best place for a plastic gauge like this is in a hardware store bolt selling area so homeowners can check their bolts.
