    Good quality battery, would be better with longer contact tabs

    The contact tabs stamped onto the ends of the battery are somewhat short, but I managed to make them work. Overall the battery is good and provides a perfect replacement.

    Excellent replacement battery - works but please read

    This battery is a NiMh Nickle Metal Hydride battery. The original is NiCd - Nickle Cadmium. They have different charging curves and I do not recommend just leaving the original charger for the 7700 plugged in all the time - especially with this NiMh battery. All in all the battery has plenty of power and the 7700 heats up really fast.

    Contact issue

    The battery is great the only issue I had was getting one of the connection tabs to install under the contact at the top of the iron. I was worried it was going to come off while trying to drill a hole in it for the contact. Finally used an all to punch a hole in it for the contact.

    Good Value

    This is a great battery and is Ni-Metal Hydride instead of Nickel Cadmium. So only charge it for a few hours at a time so that the battery is not overcharged. The tabs do not have holes in them so plan accordingly.

    It works but there is a better option.

    It works and the cost is okay but iso tip has a replacement battery kit that is a better value. I do not regret the purchase. I should have searched more.
