The Seagate Momentus Thin 320GB internal hard disk drive offers fast and efficient data processing in a sleek package. At seven millimeters, this Seagate product is an ultra-slim HDD for laptops and even for desktops with 2.5-inch HDD bays. The Momentus Thin has a spindle speed of 7200 RPM with a buffer cache of 16 megabytes and a SATA 3 GB/s NCO connectivity. It comes with several important features such as the proprietary Seagate Self-Encrypting Drives (SED), which deliver government-grade data security without sacrificing performance. This Seagate accessory is ideal for entry-level to high-performance laptops, netbooks, and other slim consumer electronic devices.Due to space and other hardware constraints, finding a laptop hard drive compatible with your electronic accessories can be tedious. This hard drive has a 2.5-inch form factor. Because laptop cases tend to have significant space constraints, this unit works particularly well in a laptop. A Fluid Dynamic Bearing motor increases the speed at which the computer can access data while reducing the likelihood of the device sustaining damage.The 3D defense system increases the reliability of these accessories by absorbing internal shock, keeping your data secure while you are on the go. To increase storage density, these devices use perpendicular magnetic recording, allowing the disk to store bits more closely together. The Momentus uses Seagate Secure to allow you to encrypt your drive securely, quickly, and easily. These devices are also bundled with free Seagate SeaTools software.     I can say it is a quiet drive; as per fast or reliable, I can not say because, it never formatted. I tried to format the drive using the format command, but if failed. The I tried to see if there was anything wrong with it by using "dskchk", but all the sectors appeared to be good. I'm assuming I did something that corrupted the drive because after the "dskchk", I have not been able to use it.

    Got My Computer Back

    My hard drive got a trojan and ever since my BIOS did not recognize it. Basically it became trash until I purchased this hard drive from you. I just had to reformat it and put windows 7 back and now its a running machine again, thank you for a great deal.

    Seagate 320GB HDD

    This Seagate drive is slow compared to Western Digital Black. It's terribly slow compared to even the oldest SSD's. It's like lightning when compared to a 5400rpm. It works great for file storage and TIVO.
