    Excellent 4 channel Headphone Amp

    The Presonus HP4 is an affordable but high-quality headphone amp. If your trying to share an audio output with up to 4 people, this is a viable alternative to a conventional home theater. In single user mode it compares very favorably in sound quality to the built-n headphone amp on my Asus Xonar Essence STXii sound card, and my Schiit Magni 3 headphone amp; don't know about multi-user mode. A couple of cautions, and one recommendation.. Firstly, my unit has a VERY sensitive volume potentiometer. I can barely increase the volume from the lowest setting (min 1, max 12) before reaching a comfortable setting with low impedance (32 ohm) headphones. ALWAYS set the volume to minimum on power-up and then carefully raise it if want to avoid ear and equipment damage. If you use high ...

    Great Amp

    This is an awesome Amp. I should have bought one years ago. I do a lot of film/TV music that us dynamic and a lot of low tones that are sometimes hard to hear. This has the power to make the tracks audible and much easier to mix. Another nice feature of this device is multiple headphone outputs. As an FYI I use the SONAR VS-100 a great piece of equipment sadly, now discontinued, has one design flaw, no discreet headphone out control. This corrects it. If your interface has a similar issue or is simply not loud enough this will compensate.

    It gets the job done!

    I use this for my bands recording. It's been very useful. We all can listen in as somebody else lays down there tracks. There are better quality ones out there, but not for this price. I bought some wire extensions and 1/4 jack adapters for the headphones and it gets the job done. Perfect for self recording musicians on a budget!

    Quality headphone amp for the home studio.

    Presonus makes quality components and this one is no different. Four output headphone amp, adequate power, and some nice features for the home studio. The monitor mute button that lights up is a useful feature. You can stack them for added headphones outputs. Presonus USB Audiobox stack nicely on top.

    Awesome headphone amp!

    Awesome headphone amp! Very powerful and clean! Strong and sturdy build. Comes with an on and off switch. Power adapter is long enough to move around my home studio and accommodate the recording artist's positional needs. Totally recommend this for the price. Here's a tip, the "Elite Core EC-SMK Stand Adapter for PM-16 Personal Monitor Mixer" which you can find on amazon fits and works perfectly with this headphone amp. Attach this to a die cast mic stand and you are good to go!
