    Unique, Riveting & Rewarding

    I have always been an avid reader, yet this book is like no other I have ever read before. Referring to one of his paintings, the title character says: “An Ocean of Women was maybe a great painting. It took the viewer to a lot of different places at once which a great painting can do.” And the book itself parallels this idea: It takes the reader to a lot of different places at once which a great novel can do. The Painter is a unique, multifaceted book in many dimensions. It is a riveting, mind-expanding tale of a man, with many rewarding side lines.

    A good read that takes place in the Rockies.

    A good Colorado author who writes very good stories. This is the 2nd Peter Heller book that I’ve read. I like his style.
