About this product

Product Information

Cadet's premier hydronic baseboard line is recommended for nurseries and bedrooms, and for people with severe allergies. While SoftHEAT offers everyone a comfortably warm room, it was specifically designed to reduce the effects of indoor allergens, compared to other heating systems.

I've had 2 of the bigger models die over the last (almost) 20 years. But I love these things. Was hard to find, but I can survive on the 1k watt models (I think). It is -12F today and the house struggles (set for 72F), but I am also limited by the low limits I have set on my demand controller. At a max of 5.5kw set on my demand controller the house is running about 68F but it should warm up by next weekend. A+

  • These are great, if you can get them.

I've been using Cadet SoftHeat baseboards since I replaced the old King baseboards almost 20 years ago. I bought 4 of the 1375 Watt models and a 500 Watt model for the bathroom. Two of the larger models eventually failed (I still have 2 working) and I was not able to get the 1375 Watt models anymore. I found a 1200 Watt model (used) and so picked it up, but it recently failed. There don't seem to be many of the 1200 Watt models around, but an ample supply of the 1000 Watt ones. These "should" be adequate for my needs, even if the older ones fail. The heat that the SoftHeat models gives off is so much better than without the Hydronic that I would never go back to the older style models (even if I find it hard to get these).
