    Great Camcorder

    It’s not top of line but you’re not paying thousands of dollars. It’s got plenty of adjustable settings and the image/video quality is a good 1080/720. Nightshot works great in absolute dark, but has a fairly short range. The focus is great, even on auto, but needs manual adjustment for close ups. The zoom is also good, but I haven’t tested its limits. I would estimate it’s range to be about 200 meters. Does not have a flashlight for video but does have an Active Interface slot for attachments, including a light and potentially a nightshot extension.

    Look out big cams

    Matches well to FX 1000's Actually better in low light. Wide lens is great, its like having the wide lens adapter built in, without the weight/ bulk. Super slow actually looks like its HD quality, this feature on some other Sony cams drops in resolution quite a bit. Works Great with the Dual Dolly RS. I bought authentic Sony Batts, the Imports seem to have a false gauge readout. Shows lots of minutes at first, when it gets near the end import batts drop 2x faster than normal. I do alot of long shooting, and watch the batt time remaining, and actual record time. Its also easy to test, just leave the cam recording overnight. Look at the clip length in the morning. Almost all the high capacity import batts won't go much longer than 2.5 hrs clip length. It also starts and stops very close to ...

    Great all around Video Camera

    This is Sony's latest (2010 model year) top of the line "consumer" camera (along with the XR550V, which uses a Hard Drive instead of the 64G internal flash of this CX model). A little bigger and heavier than last years CX500/520, but with a more full featured design. The function control button/knob returns to the front of the camera, and adds shutter and iris functions. 1/8" headphone and mic jacks are added for the first time on a CX series camera. New bigger 3.5" LCD is beautiful, and a basic but usable viewfinder appears for the first time on a "CX" series camera - earlier CX's had just the LCD. Also for the first time, this camera has a "dual media" memory slot that can use SDHC cards OR Sony Memory sticks. OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) is superb, making for steady video ...

    Sony HDR-CX550V "Magic Camera"

    For the money this camera is amazing. I work in television and have used this camera for a second or third camera many times now and it is great! In the hands of a producer or someone who doesn't know much about shooting they can give me some creative shots or funky angles and it cuts with the Sony EX-1 really well. It will not replace your main camera and it only shoots 1080i but for those times when you need the shot fast, in a tight place or a moving car or can't use a tripod this is the camera. The steady shot is the best I have seen. The manual controls are difficult to use but the automatic stuff is so good you don't have to worry about it most of the time.

    Let buy a item that make you fell happy.

    This is a very good item that I know.Before this time, I have a complete of Nikon N.50 camera kit .When i known about this item, I changed my mind .I bought total 1 item for me and 3 for my family ( included 1 in VietNam ). Every bodies happy with HDR-CX550V Handycam. Great!!!!! I like this item because it is small body but full functions, images very clear with FX mode , even in low light or in dime room.For me, it is best of all.I don't think I will change my mind about next several year later . I love too much this item. I'm proud with HDR-CX550V.Thank you SONY.
