About this product

Product Information

For photographs that look great without requiring the expertise of a professional, choose the Zeiss CFE lens. The Zeiss 80 mm lens is a telephoto lens, so the focal length is longer than the physical length of the lens. The Zeiss f/2.8 lens takes clear photos throughout the entire zoom range, as this zoom lens produces pictures that look natural in different types of lighting. With a fixed focal length, the Zeiss CFE lens suits the needs of the professional or the casual photographer. The Zeiss CFE lens should also be recognized for its great indoor shooting qualities, and is great for both mounted and handheld cameras. The Zeiss 80mm lens is compatible with medium format cameras. The Zeiss f/2.8 lens can perform in low light situations for portraits and can handle the high light exposure of a landscape shot. The lens has an aperture of f/2.8 and focal length of 80 mm.

  • It's Hasselblad. How can it be bad?

This is probably the first lens you should be using if you have a Hasselblad 500 camera. Ebay only gave me the option to review the CFE version of this lens, when I actually purchased the C version of it. I'm a diehard C lens fan and do not like the design of the modern CF, CFI, and CFE lenses. It's a personal preference. The photo quality of all of them is excellent. Planar lenses are prone to flare due to the layout of the glass elements. Other than that, these things are going to make sharp images for you if they are in working order. Speaking of working order, my first 80mm C lens was from 1959 and it worked excellently after all of these years. This equipment is rugged and ready to tackle photography like a champ. Since these lenses have been made for so many years, it ...

  • Hasselblad 80mm 2.8 CF

I have used Hasselblad cameras and lenses for over 30 years. I am now working with more DSLR's but still have an EL, 50, 80 and 120 that I use with a Phase One back. There are lenses that are sharper in the Hassy lineup and faster if you go to the F series but I never experienced the barrel distortion or focus vigneyt that I know do with DSLR lenses. The 80mm 2.8 is compact and inexpensive, a no braine'r for anyone using Hassy V series cameras.
