This is my second purchase of this same item. Great range. Works great. Lightweight. Highly recommended. Saves $5/mo on my Spectrum bill. The bad: Router gets hot and shortens its life. You must buy a $5 desk fan that plugs into the router’s USB port to keep internal components cool and prolong router life. Also buy the square trade warranty for $3. Well worth the insurance. I learned the hard way from my first purchase. Get a fan!

For the most part it does what it should. Hard-wired works as it should. Wi-Fi has “average” range on both 2.4 & 5G. I was not able to get the USB port to work with a flash drive. The software says the flash drive is there, but I can’t figure out how to communicate with it. The user manual is poorly written on this subject. There is something buggy about TCP uploading. After a computer reboot, the router won’t upload via TCP. If I factory reset the router, it will upload until the next time I reboot the computer. I don’t have this problem with other brands of routers.

I chose this router because of it's USB 3.0 port. This feature, along with the rest of the unit was easy to setup. Though I am a little disappointed by the file transfer speed, it does work as intended and the unit over all is a good value. If there was an easy way to make it a repeater I'd probably get more of them for my home network.

This was purchased for a friend that wanted a "Nest" camera but didn't have a WiFi Router. His first choice was a Netgrear basic router he got locally but it had no external antennas and the range was limited. This Linksys replaced the Netgear and it works fine with the Nest camera. Reception range increased dramatically.

easy setup, good speed (if your close enough) works great in rooms close to router, but if your a couple rooms away the signal drops to 3 bars and as most know--3 bars equals bad internet. and the antennas seem to be non-removable? so adding better antenna is a no go. also if you want to wall hang it, it has no holes in the back for doing so. this replaced a older linksys with no antennas and that one has better range???? bottom line--not worth over 40 bucks imo- netgear is my new go to-
