This product has been very helpful my dog uses to get in and out of my SUV.I did put a hole in it so it stays permanently connected to my trailer hitch. Although it is easy to take on and off if you prefer that.It would be nice if it would fold up or under but it is also fine as it is ....it is not been a problem I just leave on the car.My dog steps right on and jumps down on it so it is all good and the fact that I no longer have to lift him has made a huge difference.
