It works but takes time on stubborn dogs
It works great at silencing barking. It does need to be placed in a good spot. Line of site is best, if not as close as possible works. I set it on ultrasonic and max sensitivity for best results and it worked within a couple days on most dogs. I did have to spend a few minutes one morning pressing and holding the button to make it a bit more effective and it worked. Some dogs cannot hear or are so stubborn they will never stop. That case will just require a knock on the neighbors door. It is a great passive alternative if there are multiple problem barkers in the area. I have 2 units installed pointing in opposite directions for best coverage.It works great at silencing barking. It does need to be placed in a good spot. I ended up keeping it to try for a month. I had to put it on the neighbor's property to get it close enough to work. The retailer promised a $10 discount to satisfy me. I have asked 3 times, still haven't got it. Btw, this was the 2nd bait & switch I encountered when trying to purchase the Good Life Ultra Dog Silencer.

I've had this device for 2 days, and it was most effective, just as advertised at stopping a dog across the street that barked all day, every day, when the owners were away (nuisance, boredom barking). Sometimes, I'd have to use the remote control to give some extra convincing; things seem to be remarkably under control. I am most ecstatic to have found this, and am contemplating a second (I actually bought the MAX). Potential buyers do need to RTFQ2 (read the full article twice). This device is not a miracle device to stop all dogs barking. It has no effect on occasional or instinctive protective barking. Exactly as the seller stated. Additionally, you will probably need line-of-sight from the Dog Silencer to the nuisance mutt. it really is a good life!
bought this item from another source, but it really works. We live in a close neighborhood with barking dogs all around, but especially next door, with 6 dogs. For barking across the street or a little further, you just press the small hand-held device towards the sound & that works as well.
