This was Chistopher Lee and Peter Cushing's last outings as Dracula/Van Helsing. I remember reading that Christopher left the role because he felt the scripts for them were getting weak and after seeing it I can see why. While it wasnt the worst of the Hammer Horror films it definitely doesnt have the appeal of the earlier films. Now this film isnt all bad as still has some great performances by Lee and Cushing and also some great nude scenes with some comely young ladies. All in all its not a bad film just not the best. Go with the earlier Lee Dracula films as they are much better in my honest opinion.
Any movie starring both Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing is worth the price of admission. Some have complained about this one being set in the 1970's, but I enjoyed the entire film. It has a distinct Hammer feel and the blend of 1970's London culture with the Dracula legend is quite enjoyable. The scenes with Cushing and Lee are lively and well done overall. The plot is rather lackluster, though in this film, one of the latest Dracula entries, Dracula is concerned with world domination, a twist I can't recall being present in other movies. I would recommend it to any horror fan.
This was a terrible movie. I threw it out.
