I ordered my second Nikon coolpix and it is exactly what I wanted and needed. The first Nikon Coolpix I had was Coolpix L100 which I loved using but I gave it away when I became interested in heavier cameras. My Canon EOS Rebel T3i is heavy and I get very tired carrying it so I feel that sorry that I don't have my coolpix anymore. Now I bought my second one from Ebay and I am so happy. This L810 is easy to handle, very light, takes clear and beautiful shots without a lot of effort. I got it just in time for the Rodeo break and the parade that I watch every year and share shots on facebook for friends and family. I can carry it on my neck all day as if it's not there and still be able to shoot thousands of pictures with the 4 AA batteries. There is really nothing negative about coolpix L810 if you are a laid back hobbyist like me, just out to have fun and stay out of trouble! I need a case though when it is not in use and so you would need a small camera bag to do the job!Read full review

I love this camera. It takes great pictures inside and out. Its a bit awkward at times to hold. I take alot of pics with only one hand and its difficult to get my hand around the camera and on to the click button to take the pic. The camera lens cap is annoying because it just hangs and swings. i wish there was a place to put it where it did not hang loose. I did take it off but I worry about the lens getting scratched so I put it back on. It is a great little camera for the price and does take really nice pics.
I am not a professional photographer, but I do take hundreds of photos each week, and generally over 50 each day for selling items on eBay. I had been using a cheap Sony Cyber but was looking to upgrade since my daughter was getting married. I tried an Olympus and a good quality Kodak but returned them both. This Nikon has the best battery life of any camera I have ever owned - and that's dozens. The picture quality is really nice which means less photo editing for me. Getting this camera made taking distance shots easy and tight shots with much less lighting effort. I have only one issue and it is minor and not one to effect many pictures but when I have to photograph an item close range from a low height the lens will create a shadow in the flash. I usually just edit it out and most people wouldn't even be taking photos that would have that issue. The biggest advantage I have found is the battery life. I always preferred rechargeable batteries in the past and would always keep an extra battery charging but I was switching back and forth regularly. This camera uses AA batteries and with the hundreds of photos I take weekly, and taking wedding photos as well as pleasure photos I have only changed batteries ONCE in about 6 weeks. It is bulkier than my other point and shoot cameras but I just keep it around my neck while using it. I haven't bothered with much mode work yet but sooner or later I will have a chance to try out all the neat options this camera offers. I find it is a real sweet deal.Read full review
I picked this camera because it has good reviews but after using it for a while, I find that I was let down a little. I expected the camera to have built in jittery hands stability but most of the pictures turn out blurry unless I keep the exposure for a long time. Overall I love the camera but I feel that the promised features should enhance the pictures. I don't have jittery hands but my pictures still come out less sharp and my friends who use my camera to take pictures for me take very blurry pictures because of this.
Excellent camera, with excellent price This is a camera to take great photos permie closely and zooming at any escenartio with very good performance and a low price. It also has a basic kit, which is enough for the photographer who was introduced to photography.
I have a 2004 Kodak digital. It is working fine. The software does not. I had to buy a new camera. I have owned a Nikon before. Had for 20 years but can't buy the 35mm film. So, I bought this one. I love it. The wider screen, the memory card I had works in it. It is a neat little camera. I love the color. Light weight, easy to use. Ton of features for different enviorments, more than my Kodak. I am glad I bought it.
Great digital camera for all around picture taking. Very easy to use and not overall heavy. Great material and nice finish to it. You can feel your money's worth once holding it!
Firmware needs another update.. every so often it green screen s and you have to cycle the power and power back up. Does not auto stitch panorama pics probably not going to but another nikon

I purchased this camera because I bought 3 others just like it before for me,friends and brothers and talked another brother into getting one for himself. Now I and all my brothers have the same great camera, and we'll find out who is the best photographer. This camera is the only one I've been able to get GREAT pictures of the moon with and I can't wait until I get to places like Lake Tahoe, Death Valley, Yosemite and other places like that to put it to the real test. I'm not a pro photographer but my pics have been on NBC TV 41 times in recent years. Erik M.
The camera is an excellent camera for all except full telephoto. When full telephoto is used it is unstable and won't focus most of the time. I only had this camera for 2 weeks and sold it to someone who doesn't care about full telephoto. But all other modes this camera is an excellent buy for the money.
