A war winning aircraft from a award winning company
Another fine model kit by Revell. If you are looking for a reasonably priced 1/32 Spitfire Mk IX, this is the kit for you. Although it is not overly engineered with detail that will never be seen, it is still detailed enough to please with fine surface and cockpit detail. My only complaint is I wish Revell would have included engine and gun bay detail as in their FW 190 series. Considering the low price one can easily rectify this and still be under the cost of other manufacturers. Keep up the good work Revell.Another fine model kit by Revell. Excellent kit, especially for the price when compared to Tamiya. Excellent detail and accurate outline. No engine. Recessed riveting and panel lines. Some may find the riveting a bit heavy. This Mk.IX kit was first released in 2017. It shares some parts with the new-tool Revell Spitfire Mk.II kit released in 2014, such as cockpit, wingtips, stabilizers and elevators. The fuselage, wings, windscreen, canopy and 4-bladed propeller are new-tool, not the same parts as the Mk.II kit. The kit includes a beautifully printed, full-color instruction manual. Options include: - two types of rudders - two types of exhausts - parts for centerline bomb and under-wing bombs with carriers - parts for clipped wing version - decals printed by Cartograph for 2 aircraft as they appeared in 1944 ... This is a great model to build, but you need to be sure not to leave it somewhere where it could get damaged. Hang this one off the ceiling or display it on a stand. This model has a ton of detail. Worth the price ten times compared to other expensive model warbirds.

All new tool of an early version P-51-D, without dorsal tailfin extension prevalent on later models. If you're a Mustang fighter fan, this is pretty much a must have. Molding and engraved panel likes are modern day model kit quality.
