A Good Primer to Prepare for a Trip to Germany
I bought the book because my wife is trying to learn some conversational German and I'm trying to refresh my memory of the language that I took in school. I found the book and its organization to be easy to follow and unlike some other on-line courses, rich with explanations and analogies to English. German grammar is difficult to learn and the book does a good job in feeding it to the student slowly, with lots of examples. My only complaints are that I think it should have more practice exercises and quizzes, to help understand what one missed or didn't understand. I also found some English to German translation errors. Overall, it's a good book that's easy to understand that can help the beginning German student prepare for a trip to Germany quickly with helpful phrases and a ...
