The Cymbals sound pretty good, the 18" free crash is probably the weakest cymbal out of the bunch. It's a little duller sounding and doesn't have as nice a crash sound as the 16" cymbal. I still added it to my kit as a third crash and use my 15" Zildjian Vintage crash that has a higher pitch clean crash that I purchased years ago. I paid under $700 for a used pair that looked brand new since it was a used demo pair. Came in the original box and wrapping. For a complete set this would work for most drummers. Advance drummers would probably prefer to buy individual Zildjians that really hone into their individual tastes on what sound they are looking for.
