This is my second pair of this model number. It can be a little noisy when it's getting ready to print. Other than that it's a pretty good value.

Good print output - silly options
The print output is fine. Of course that is the most important element of a printer. However, I found the "auto tray open" a little unnecessary and cumbersome and the print to disc option strange. I was also disappointed to see you need multiple ink cartridges. I purchased this as a replacement for an HP print to disc unit which was much simpler. Nevertheless, since there are very few disc to print units, I would probably buy this again.The print output is fine. Of course that is the most important element of a printer. Great printer if you want a print only printer
This is a great print only printer it print very fast black & white & fast color text & really beautiful color pictures. unfortunately Canon stopped making this printer a couple of years ago & they do not make anything that is compatible to it today. When this printer came out it sold for under a hundred dollars I bought two or three of them for that price. the one I just bought I paid $350.00 for & they are asking as much as $700.00 for them on line. I don't think you will be able to buy this printer for much longer.This is a great print only printer it print very fast black & white & fast color text & really beautiful color pictures. unfortunately Canon stopped making this printer a couple of years ago & they do not make anything that is compatible to it today. Best printer I have every bought because of the automatic drop-down tray.
Gosh, no more worries about breaking the output tray because I now put it back and it drops when needed. And, the photos are fabulous. This machine is one of the best I have ever bought. Only downfall is-does not scan or photocopy. So, I bought an inexpensive Cannon to sit ontop for scanning and copying.

The item makes very good impression, both in photo and documents, what I do not like is the excessive consumption of ink, but this is normal on all Canon printers that use this type of ink (it is very cheap): PGI- 250BK / XL, CLI-251 / XL, however the item is racomendable, Thanks.
