About this product

Product Information

Set atop the skyscrapers of modern-day Tokyo, Ninja Blade finds players slicing their way through hordes of infected monsters in a battle to save humanity. Gamers take on the role of Ken Ogawa, member of a highly skilled team of ninjas, as he and his team fight to prevent the spread of a deadly disease. Unfortunately, the team is betrayed by one of its own, leaving Ogawa to fight the genetically mutated monsters alone. Players don't enter the battle unprepared though, as Ogawa comes equipped with a variety of weapons, tools, and special ninja powers. The "Ninja Vision" power lets gamers see enemy weaknesses, secret paths, and hidden information, but enabling this power also leaves Ogawa susceptible to increased damage. The "Todome" power deals a fatal wound to enemy hearts, while "Ninjutsu" unleashes an explosion of electricity that can either stun opponents or protect Ogawa from attack. His traditional weapons, such as dual swords, grappling hooks, and grenades, dole out quite a bit of punishment as well, but the different environments mean players must think strategically when selecting the best combination of weapons to use.

    Great Xbox 360 exclusive

I would rate the game 8.5 out of 10 . The game is a mix of Ninja Gaiden, God of war and Prince of Persia. The gameplay is super fast and has some fantastic moves you can easily pull off. You can upgrade your weapons and find hidden objects . The two things that people will not like about it is the story is meh and it has some quick time events. But the quick time events doesn't get in the way to much. Everything else is awesome.

  • Ninja Blade is a short, but very well made and sweet experience!

I bought this item due to it being developed by From Software, a developer that created the celebrated Demon and Dark Souls along with many other gems... such as Ninja Blade. Now, Ninja Blade may look like a Ninja Gaiden follower... because it is, but it's really the best kind of follower possible. If Ninja Gaiden is a teacher, then Ninja Blade is a very proficient and up-and-coming student teacher. It is not a pale imitator of Ninja Gaiden, but it never quite meets its inspiration's level, either. The main reason for this is, unfortunately, the game's brevity. It's several hours too short, if you ask me. If it had another 3 or 4 hours of content added onto it, then I'd say it'd almost be perfect, something sweet and grand. Yet, in reality, Ninja Blade is only around 8-9 hours, depending ...

  • A poor man's Ninja Gaiden.

If you're going to play Ninja Blade, it's for the totally ridiculous and over-the-top action that closes out each level. Ken Ogawa doesn't just kill these parasitic monsters of the night. He ends them with the kind of style great B-movies are made of. What's the best way to kill a giant spider? With a wrecking ball, of course. Cars and rubble flying through the air aren't just debris. They're platforms to run atop and jump off. These are all played out through quick-time-events to keep the player engaged, not that you really need any encouragement. These kill moves had the entire IGN editorial office cheering at their sheer lunacy.

  • Superb Cinematics, Excellent gameplay, don't miss out!

Alright, first things first. You probably have never heard of this game, however you should have. It is one of the best, I think, cinematic games out there right now. The game might seem over the top, and lots of people have not heard of it, since the makers of the game are new to video game design of top rated games, however dont miss out your chance on this one. The game plays just like any Ninja hack and slash game, however, this one adds a huge punch in the cinematics sequences, where each cinematic is played out by no other but you! You control each cinematic scene in the game by pressing corresponding buttons as your ninja does amazing acrobatic moves to kill his enemies. Dont worry, there is a lot of gameplay within each mission, as each consists of at least an hour or two, and ...

  • Excellent fun game

The game is without any doubt a very good game. It is pure adrenaline, it takes some aspects borrowed from other games (Resident Evil, God of War, Ninja Gaiden), but the game itself shines on it's own. It is a fast paced, challenging with some of the best epic boss fights that you have ever seen in any game. Good/Pros Fast action paced Great graphics Fun gameplay Awesome bosses Easy to learn controls Great combos Length of the game is OK (9 to 12 hours to beat) Cons Save system needs to get checkpoints in the middle of a mission (there are checkpoints), but if you turn off the console, you need to start that mission again. Need to finish the mission to get a real save game. Missions take a little bit more than an hour the first time you play (average) No multiplayer, only uploads to ...
