What? Weirdly appropriate but...What?
I was blown away after only a few minutes at my first viewing several years ago and, being Irish, I was glad to see that 'The Auld Sod' was keeping up with the rest of the world when it came to relentless self destruction. After buying it, my second viewing had equal impact. But this time, when the flipped-out mother of the poor, neglected, tiny baby saw that her child was lying in its crib - dead as a stone, and could only cope with the tragedy by geezing yet another hundred CCs of brown Turkish heroin into her arm, well, the whole scenario took on an entirely different meaning. I guess one must make up one's own mind as to what it all means, after all, but this film is gritty, edgy, funny, serious, crazy and sad. Trainspotting..movie must
This is a movie must. I saw this for the first time when I was 15 and for the 2nd time when I was 25. Of course over the years alot has changed and i noticed so many different things. This movie is about addiction and stupid decisions. Mainly about heroin addiction and what happens or could happen as an addict.
