    Great for the money.

    It's not a Shure SM58, but it does the job. Good, clear sound with good feedback rejection, typical for a cardioid mic. Build quality is surprisingly good. These are great for band practice, karaoke/DJ use and speaking. I've even used it in a pinch at band gigs and it worked very well. Can't go wrong for the price.

    Nady Systems Star Power 1 Professional Microphone

    I bought this microphone for two reasons 1)because of the price and 2)because of the type of magnet used in its construction. We run karaoke and we seem to go through microphones like water. I saw that these microphones have the neodymium element which is one feature I really like in my favorite brand of microphone (which is no longer made). This element seems to give a microphone a clearer sound. We tested the microphone out at a show and it is a good microphone. It is a little quiet and I would not recommend it for a quiet singer or announcer, but for the price, I will use it at shows, probably buy more, and I will not feel that I am slighting my customers on quality or sound. This is a very good microphone at a really great price.

    If you don't really know anything about microphones this one will do well.

    I consider myself to be a professional quality musician and vocalist. I am proud to say that when I started looking for a vocal mic that I was looking only for an SM58. They were moving for about $50 which was more than I wanted to have to pay. I found these Nady SP-1 for about 1/3 the price. I was familiar with some other Nady products so I took a chance. I am quite happy with the performance of this mic. I use it for regular stage use. I have not recorded with it yet. I have no fantasies that this is the best mic available nor that it doesn't have limits at the professional level. For the price, however, the sound is impeccable. PS, If you don't really know anything about microphones but need a good one, buy a Nady SP-1
