Excellent Radar Detector for my Needs
I’ve had it for a couple weeks now and have been able to get a feel for how it works. The range is amazing and the customizable features let me tailor it to my needs and preferences. The range is so good in fact, I’ve had to turn the K band sensitivity down. There are only two PDs where I live that use K Band so most of the K band alerts are blind spot monitoring on other cars or automatic door scanners. Turning on the K filtering on and the sensitivity down has reduced some of the false alerts but still alerts me to any actual police radar. I’d recommend this detector to anyone who doesn’t need the ridiculously extreme range of the R3 or arrows like the V1 and Escort 360.I’ve had it for a couple weeks now and have been able to get a feel for how it works. Great item, has saved me a few times but some features aren't needed.
I absolutely love this thing, it has saved me a few times already from getting a ticket. The GPS lockout is really nice. The only thing is the GPS lockout is really only useful for city driving and non of the PD use just k band. They use KA and handheld Lazer. The K band goes off all the time. The mute memory is nice but it's a lot of work to just get alot of false reading. So I just disabled K and X band. Sooo that means I'm not even using GPS. I recommend getting a non gps model if your on a budget(R1, DFR3, DFR8). If not it's a great package with lots of features and has saved me several tickets from the last month of ownership. 10/10. I got the refurbished one for $169. I have zero regrets. I absolutely love this thing, it has saved me a few times already from getting a ticket. The GPS lockout is really nice. Top notch radar detector.
So far this radar detector has been working great. The GPS function and auto mute seems to work fairly well. This detector has alot of customizable features. There are YouTube videos showing all of the features of this radar detector. I would highly recommend it for the price.
