Synopsis
A sheep farmer receives a mysterious telephone call shortly after he buys a series of pictures painted on parchment. "Decipher the message in the parchment and right a great wrong," the voice says. Puzzled, the owner asks Nancy to help. With Junie, his daughter, Nancy tracks down a kidnapper and a group of extortionists. Is there a connection between the message in the parchment and a boy artist on another farm? And who is responsible for the atmosphere of fear in the neighborhood? After several harrowing experiences, Nancy begins to tighten the net around a ruthless villain and calls on the assistance of her friends Ned, Burt, Dave, Bess and George to bring his nefarious scheme to a dead end.

    Another mystery for Nancy to solve, clues in the parchment paper.

    I recently discovered a Nancy Drew book at a Literacy Council kiosk in the mall. It was in a pile of many authors, all free for the taking. I was immediately drawn to the Nancy Drew book. Now I have over 25 N/D books, reverting back to the books I loved as a pre-teen. Great characters, Nancy and her friends, easy reading, good plots.

    I haven't read this one, yet. But, I've been a huge fan of Nancy drew since I learned how to read. I thought that the 50th was the last one, before I got married. It wasn't. So, I have 10 more to read.

    Very interesting book

    I loved it! I picked it up and read it in only two days. I gave it a "good" rating because the plot is a little complicated. you have to go back a little to see what was going on, but I caught on.
