Soft enough for a baby
I decided to try my skills at knitted lace. Found a long scarf pattern and the color of this yarn called Icelandic - aqua, turquoise, greys to almost white. It is BEAUTIFUL and my husband was impressed with how the ombre worked itself into the over-all pattern. Soft to the hand; acrylic, because in Florida, I can't keep the moths away from wool or alpaca (I make my own yarns of fleece with a spinning wheel, but no more). I had some left over, made a hat. It will occasionally split, but it's not big a problem. A friend is expecting her 4th grandchild (a girl), and since she'll be raised an outdoor baby, I want to use the rose camo for a cocoon or a blanket. I'll make her sister something too. Very good value, beautiful when finished, lovely drape, not real heavy. And I'll buy more ... I decided to try my skills at knitted lace.
