Unlike a boxed CPU Heat Sink, it preforms very well, it doesn't sound like a lawnmower, and it uses the fan slot on you CPU motherboard to great efficiency. Also, unlike a normal fan cable, it has a slot for your CPU Heat Sink. This works well with server motherboards too, you can have 14 fans and 2 heat sinks connected with 2 of these little devices. If you're having issues with low fan RPM, this item is for you. It will boost your fans from 1200 RPM, up to 1700 RPM. I have this connected to CPU Fan controller in motherboard controlling 4 Fans connected to hub inside my silencio352 case. * 2x 3-pin 120mm fan, which came with silencio352 - wokring as an rear and top exhaust * 2x4-pin Fan, which came with Corsair H100i AIO cooler - working as a front intake) Amazing part is that all these four is controlled through CPU Fan PWM connectors, it shows RPM of one of the FAN and equally distributes current across all four fan - Asus Bios PWM connected to this hub help manage speed any time (Fan speed stays at 700rpm in normal operations, and can go as high as 2400rpm with this configuration).Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
