Great all metal sewing machine.
The Kenmore 158.1040 sewing machine is about 40 years old and sews as well or better than any modern machine AND it DOES NOT have electronics! Yay! Electronics are great in my phone etc., but not in my sewing machine. This is an all metal machine, very sturdy and well machined. It will make a great travel/ class machine, with just enough stitches to handle everything I'll need.

Fantastic portable machine. One word of caution, make sure you try before you buy! There are not replacement parts available for the plastic parts on this machine. Make sure the stitch selector knob and the fly wheel function. The front storage case is not available either. That being said, if you find h to is machine with case, all parts, and completely functioning, it is stunning. I will hand mine down to my daughters only.Fantastic portable machine.
