It is similar but not the same as in the picture. Color is more brownish red the what you see. The inside liking as you seenin the picture is very smooth and a grayish canvas. This is bright green and thick grained some sort of sack. That can act as sandpaper.

First of all, it was my mistake for not reading the size description of this journal. Just from the first word "Large", I thought it would be large. As you can see in the pics, there isn't anything really large about it. It is thick, but not much can be written on each page. No matter, I love it, and it is a gift for my nephew who will think it's really cool! Also I accidentally gave the wrong shipping address, emailed the seller immediately with the right one, and they were ON IT !!!!
