Good kit, but hardware made cheap, replace cheap spacer for alternator shim with a solid spacer, had to shim alternator bracket out a 1/4 inch to make it line up on 3 cylinder ford diesel engine, didn't use cheaper 3 way wire connector to splice hot wires together, use a crimp sleeve for wires. All is working great.

Straight Forward Set-Up
About as easy as you can get. Clear, step by step instructions. I had two issues with the kit and figment. First the directions said to use the “black wire that came on the new wiring harness…” except there was no Black wire, it was Yellow. The mounting bracket and spacers for the diesel model didn’t line up the pulley for the engine and the alternator. I had to put a 1/2” offset bend in the bracket and make a 1/2” spacer to get it all to line up. No biggie. Very satisfied overall. There’s also a video up on YT of a guy using this kit if you need it. About as easy as you can get. Clear, step by step instructions. I had two issues with the kit and figment. Good product just poorly packed and the mounting bracket very average.
I had to straighten up the rev counter fitting as I think it may have been bent in the shipping. I had to cut and reweld the mounting bracket because it was welded together the wrong way round. There is a long yellow wire that I presume represents the black wire that goes to the light wire? Otherwise I think everything else seems good. It is now fitted and is working well.

FORD 3000 ALT TO GENERATOR KIT
TOOK A LITTLE LONGER TO INSTALL BECAUSE GEN AND FAN BELTS ARE DIFFERENT LENGTHS . I USED A 17560 BELT AND ALTERED THE ORGINAL ADJUSTING BRACKET . I SHOULD HAVE GOT A 17750 BELT ( ABOUT 1'' SHORTER ) OTHER THAN THAT IT WORKS GREAT.BATTERY STAYS CHARGED AND TACH WORKS .
