Best Crossbow for the money
Surprised how soon I received it plus accuracy, compactness and speed I’m pleased with. Long trigger only drawback but already use to, overall great crossbow and affordable.

Recently purchased the CP400 online without having the opportunity to shoot it first. As stated in many reviews, the bow comes assembled, easy to sight in, VERY fast, and highly accurate. For some it may be a bit difficult to cock (200 lb pull) without an easy cocking system. Major con is that the trigger is terrible - extremely long/hard pull before it fires. I have owned and shot several crossbows from a variety of manufacturers and this trigger is the worst by far. Those that aren’t complaining about it haven’t shot many other Xbows. Certainly can get used to it with practice but there is no reason CP can’t improve this at the mid-range price point. Visited local bow shop to discuss whether the trigger could be adjusted and they have had several customers reporting trigger ... My bow came with the orange rope, aluminum cocking sled which is the new version. Be cautious if you get the black rope, plastic/composite cocking sled - seems problems were with this original device. The bow shop staff highly recommended against buying the CP400- said it was too dangerous. Too late for me - going to hope it holds up. Given these concerns, I would recommend buyers consider a comparable Wicked Ridge or Tenpoint bow instead. Wish I would have.

Poor engineering
Sled type cocking mechanism is poorly designed. There is only a very small groove in it that does not contain the string. Swivel style stirrup prevents the bow from being rigid during cocking. The sled will flip over backwards and release the string causing it to dry fire. When it happened to me I was trying to get the string to lock at full draw. When you pull back to seat it it causes the bow to flex at the stirrup causing this lead to pull away from the rail that’s why it will flip over backwards and release the string. It blew apart half the sled went flying down the range and it damage the rail on the bow. If you try to turn it in to CenterPoint They will tell you that because you him properly cock the ball they won’t warranty it just giving everybody a heads up I wouldn’t buy it ... Bow is great. Limbs were slightly scuffed and had some wear I assume from Being on a show floor or shuffling around in the packaging. But the bow itself was in perfect working order. I’ve shot is a couple dozen times and carried it twice in the woods. The slim profile is fantastic and it feels like a rifle when slung over your shoulder. The foot holster/bipod is a little looser than I’d like but I think that’s easily remedied. The only thing that’s ugly about this bow is the long trigger pull. It is largely different from any other crossbow I’ve ever shot. The bow and the scope combination is deadly but that dang trigger pull is nuts. Not enough to make me not like the bow but I will be looking for information online to help lessen the travel. All in all it’s very nice. Hoping to break ... Bow is great. Great price lightweight with great features
Just got my CP400, so far so good, looks to be well made, lighter than my other xbow, really like how compact it is, had to get use to the cocking rope was a little nerves because of some of the comments I have read on it, took one or two times to get a feel for it but no problem, I really like the trigger being a little stronger being a 3d archery shooter and shooting back tension its sort of like that with this trigger, dialed everything in this afternoon, it took about six shots to hit my mark at 30yds. plan on taking it out tomorrow to see if I can break it in on a deer.
