    For practical use, this seems like a spendy gimmick.

    This toothbrush is well designed for travel, however, the sonic feature is nowhere near the cleaning capability of the Sonicare. For the small amount of vibration you get with the Quip, you still need to brush and for that matter, it makes for a very expensive toothbrush and brush replacements in which case a normal toothbrush would work just as well.
