The condition is new and when first plugged in it wanted to install software. With the software installed it updated its firmware. After getting used to its features and functions I do appreciate its value. The mouse is rather ugly, but it fits my hand and works well. To my suprise its DPI is adjustable. My only concern is the lettering on the keyboard breaking up and or disapearing over time.
