About this product

Product Information

Prior to the release of the PlayStation 3, the PS2 proved to be an amazing gaming system, thanks to its realistic graphics and terrific assortment of exciting games. “Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy” has an original release date of August 25, 2009 for the PlayStation 2 for North American gamers. This exciting RPG is the second installment of the insanely popular Mana Khemia roleplaying series. “Mana Khemia: Alchemists of Al-Revis” is the first game in the saga. Though Gust developed and produced the Japanese version of this PS2 game, NIS America produced the North American version. Both Gust and NIS America are responsible for developing an assortment of interesting anime-style games for the PlayStation 2. This game is also the successor to the Atelier Iris series. The Atelier Iris series is another RPG saga that focuses on the world of alchemy. Gamers who enjoy the Mana Khemia series often like the Atelier Iris games as well. As you start your quest in “Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy,” choose from male or female characters. If you choose the male starter character in “Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy,” you begin gameplay as Razeluxe Meitzen, better known as Raze. The main female character’s name is Ulrika Mulberry. Though these two characters are similar in that they are alchemists, the unique events for Raze and Ulrika provide significantly different gameplay. Even though the basic storyline is similar, the events and characters throughout each character’s storyline are unique to the character. Guide your character around the virtual world and learn valuable alchemy skills to help Raze and Ulrika become advanced alchemists. As you play, you unlock other characters that become playable at certain portions of the game. You have the ability to create your own weapons, accessories, and armor as you play; in order to do so, players must find all of the ingredients for various alchemist recipes. If you create a recipe that you do not need, you can sell your item at the bazaar. Sometimes, you may need the item later in the game. If so, repurchase the item at the bazaar. As you progress throughout the campaign, engage in heated battles with frightening monsters. Throughout the story, you have ability to call in back-up characters for particularly tricky enemies. During the combat sequences, players may use up to three characters to successfully battle the enemy as they expand upon the storyline from “Mana Khemia: Alchemists of Al-Revis”. With so many amazing characters, it feels like there is an endless opportunity for new gameplay. One interesting characteristic about this game is that there are no specified levels. Instead, players are able to improve their statistics through the use of Grow Books. Grow Books require players to create certain items via alchemy and to obtain certain achievements during battles. The rating for “Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy” is “T” for teens. This means that the game is appropriate for teen gamers or for younger gamers when played under parental supervision.

    Good Sequel

Played the first game, and was ecstatic when I found out there was a second. I still had a PS2, so I was glad to try it out. The story is definitely of the same type as the first game, which was a plus in my opinion.

  • My impression by the game

This title was a 'must buy' for me from the start. I loved the alchemy-system of the other series 'Atelier Iris' and also played the first Mana Khemia and aside from the item- and weapon-making I've always thought the stories and the characters to be definitly one-of-a-kind. At least I haven't come across anything like it before. What I've seen so far had definitly gotten me hooked, thought I do have to admit that at first I was a bit... weirded out by the characters personality this time around. They are quite an unique bunch of people, both in good and bad ways. However, while I at first had an instant dislike for certain people - like Pepperoni from Ulrika's party (a fairy-man?) - once I choose to advance in their story I couldn't help starting to like them. Even if they do silly ...

  • Great game with funny characters

I bought this game because I love the first one. The story for this game is not serious at all( in a good way because its funny). There are some characters in this game can be either annoying or amusing. I just only found 1-2 characters that can be possibly annoying. The battle system in this game is really addicting and is different from any other RPGs I have played. Although there is no bonus challenge dungeon. Although there's a secret route that must be unlocked, I still wouldn't call it a bonus dungeon because it still conflicts with the story. This game has a great soundtrack and you can choose which BMX you want during the battle to choose after fulfilling a few requirements so that you wont hear the same song over and over. I find myself really wanting to complete all of the ...

  • Mana Khemia 2:Fall of Alchemy

To RPG fan's buy this game as fast as you can.Ok let's start of with the story. The story is well told some time with full voice's and in text.Character's are awsome you can choose between a girl and a boy.I alway's play girl's.At time's the character's say some dumb thing's that will make you laugh.Batlle is easy to learn what I troble with it the sythasising. The totorial to it was confusing to me.I try and match the color's but I still lose point's.The control's are perfect no problem's here. That's pretty much it.It's been so long since I've played a game that was so enjoyable.I love this game and highly recommend it.

  • Everyone should play this game
