    Serious Electric Chain Saw

    I have used most cheap electric chain saws for decades and finally decided to pass up what I consider the toys and spend money to get something that hopefully will last. The Makita has a hefty feel of quality about it and weighs more than the cheaper saws. It's easy to use because the dead man switch is exactly where my thumb naturally sits and is easy to hold down. The chain starts up slowly with a sense of precision and comes up to full speed eager to cut. I like the in-line motor which makes the saw easier to hold. Adjusting the tension is also easy. Pull up on a side mounted handle and rotate counterclockwise to slightly loosen the clamp holding the bar in place. Then rotate a thumb knob forward to stretch the bar and tighten the chain. Rotate the handle clockwise to clamp down the bar ...

    Makita Electric Chainsaw

    I LOVE IT!! I have used a gas chainsaw all my woodcutting years. I won't ever be without a gas saw, but I do love this electric chainsaw. It is so good not to have to worry whether or not my saw will start. I just plug it in, and I know I can work without the grief of the gas mixture mess hoping my saw will start. This is a serious saw, and the best one I found. I did quite a bit of research before I decided on this one, even like it more than the Stihl electic model, and I own 4 Stihl saws. Just my opinion.

    Reliable chainsaw

    This Makita chainsaw has new features that makes it easier to use and adjust the chain when necessary without dismantling the tool from the chain mount. I can see the bar chain oil level as well. User should read all the instructions & safety guidelines before using any chainsaw .

    Very easy to use

    With arthritis in shoulder, I have trouble starting and using my heavy gas chainsaw. I should of had this years ago. I love the way I can change, tighten, loosen chain without tools. Quiet neat chainsaw. Just push trigger and your ready to saw.

    First electric chainsaw

    I replaced my worn out Husqvarna gas powered chainsaw with the new Makita electric model. The Makita seems well built, and it runs perfect. I also like the user manual, although a person needs a magnifying glass to see it. The bottom line is that for very light duty cutting this saw is a dream, but don't expect it to do the work of a gas powered saw, it can't even come close.
