    definitely not bluegrass

    CD copy is fine, in good condition. However, the recording stinks. It is not the bluegrass that I expected. It's not worth trying to return it, but don't be fooled. The music is weird. Not even a genre that I can discern. I'm sorry I bought it, but it was cheap, so it goes in the pile of cheap worthless CDs I have taken a chance on over the years.

    Great CD

    Great CD. I would rate it 4.5 out of 5, where "5" means superb best ever. I've listened to 4 of Nickel Creek's CDs and, for me, this is the best one. Instrumentation is very nice sometimes startlingly so, themes of the songs are interesting, none of the words or themes are silly. It's one of those CDs where you look forward to listening to each track, rather than skipping some tracks or wishing they were shorter. The seemingly obligatory one classic folksong is done straightforward but with original and rather interesting accompanying music rather than simply being a cover.
