Gretsch G9126 is a Pleasing Little Instrument
This little guitar ukulele is tuned like a requinto, (up a fourth from standard tuning). Don't expect it to sound like a high end instrument. On the other hand it has a tonal charm of its own. Wide neck, so maybe not so good as a child's instrument. But easily fits small-medium sized adult hands. I am guessing the wood is a laminate. But it appears to be open pore. Pleasing overall look. The nut and bridge saddle are plastic. The nut can catch your fretting hand when playing down the neck. So you have to get used to that. I plan to switch the saddle and nut for bone when I get a chance. The intonation is good all the way up the neck. The instrument is shipped with Aquila nylgut strings.
