Works better than the packaging says!
I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Recently I had the front windshield replaced, and no one bothers putting the rear view mirror back on. If you are familiar with that particular car and the rear view mirror, the mirror does not have a set screw to remove the little plate that gets glued to the inside of the windshield. At least mine didn't. That made for an interesting delemna because the instructions say to hold that little plate on the window for 30 seconds , after the prep work, and not to attach the mirror back to that plate for at least 30 minutes. Well I decided to try it my way. I did the few prep steps, cleaned the glass and all that put the drop of glue on the plate after making sure I had the mirror going in the right direction, and put the mirror in place on the windshield. At first I thought I might be able to hold it in place for 30 minutes. I was wrong about that. I held it in place for a couple monutes with one hand, and then switched to the other hand very carefully. I then held it for a couple more minutes and switched again. Another minute went by and my arms were hurting by then. Ok laugh at me if you want, because I got ouchy after 5 minutes of holding a mirror in place. Well I am a 60 year old female. I am disabled, have arthritis in my hands pretty band, and constant joint paint in my arms and shoulders. So if I can do this, anyone can. The price was great and it worked fantastic. After that 5 minutes I let go and it stayed in place. About an hour I hung all my hangy things I always have on my rear view mirror and everything held. That was a couple weeks ago. Only thing that works
This product was bought because my rear view mirror fell off the plate on the windshield. I tried several other types of clue before and none worked. Make sure you use it as directed. The process of refitting was very easy and the mirror, weighing over a pound, stuck like it should. I never waited the entire 30 minutes to attach my mirror, because mine comes as one piece. Didn't work for me
Used it to reattach a button to a new windshield and it didn't last. Scraped the windshield with a razor blade first, then cleaned it per the instructions and used the activator. Strong and Easy Installation
The rear view mirror was laying on my car dash one day when I open the door. Bought one of this and fixed the problem flawlessly! Make sure you follow the instruction carefully and sanded the little metal plate surface really clean and smooth before applying the adhesive on it. I think some people just jump to the conclusion without the proper preparation being done! The alcohol patch provided should state that the purpose of the alcohol is to attract water vapor to react with the Super glue so it will set.
