    Pleasantly surprised

    I wasn't expecting much and it was for a relative that only needed to connect to internet because he was given a new wireless printer. Worked great one room away from router plus the signal had to go thru PC user and enclosed PC desk. I was pleasantly surprised that it worked solidly, without drop-offs and at speeds similar to some of my own wired connections.

    No better and no worse than any other low priced adapters.

    As long as you do not have walls and other obstructions in the way this adapter functions well. As with all adapters in this class the lack of external antennas limits the distance you can be from the router. For the money this is a good adapter.

    great device to have handy

    This works great but not compatible with windows 10. I have one handy for doing setups of windows 7 when the drivers don't install automatically on a laptop and I got a second one for my friend at the time because the USB plug on hers and mine are bent and just keeping them on hand. Haven't opened the boxes yet.

    Helps with reception

    This cradle lifts my adapter up off the computer on the floor and places it on the desk where the wifi reception is better. I'm not even using it with a Netgear adapter - its a Linksys, but as long as its not too bulky probably many adapters will fit in it.
