A little bit of work req'd on the aluminum mount base for clearance but it's aluminum, no big deal. Makes my old speedometer look bad. I might have to get a repro speedo.

I've been building a custom motorcycle 4 2 years, and I recently reached the stage of installing the electrical components into the wiring loom.When I connected this tachometer, it immediately blew the main fuse, after testing the unit with a multimeter I confirmed that it has an internal short in the wiring.I contacted the seller requesting a refund and returned shipping label.But I did not receive any response. it's a negatory; the first I've given.Reply from: scoutkb- Feedback replied by seller scoutkb.- Feedback replied by seller scoutkb.I did respond with a return refusal. The item was outside the return window and also the customer was using the tach on his "custom" motorcycle. The only wiring for the tachometer is for light bulbs to illuminate the face so the main fuse failure from light bulbs seems highly unlikely.
