Save space & weight at a great price
This is a sturdy, versatile cymbal mount that can be used with just about any size and weight ride provided you are not a basher. I use it with a 21" Zildjian A Custom Rezo ride and also with a 20" K Heavy ride (both weigh-in around 3000 grams). It's solid as a rock, a terrific value and saves floor space and weight in my trap case. It allows me to get my ride in a perfect position without the need for a boom arm and another tripod stand base. I do wish that Gibraltar would include the 10.5mm memory clamp for even quicker set-up and security, but at this price- its not a deal breaker- I just order one separately. Installation is easy- just 2 holes to drill, but care should be taken as far as placement for best results. Good product. Could use a better description and pictures. I originally wanted a cymbal mount that would merely clamp onto the bass drum, which is what I thought I ordered. Upon arrival, I clearly saw it was not that type. At first I was going to return it, but that is about the same amount of time and hassle it would take to just remove the outside drum head , drill two holes, and mount the cymbal stand- forever. Seems sturdy enough. Will have to see after some intense playing... Overall I guess I am satisfied.Good product. Could use a better description and pictures. GIBRALTAR BASS DRUM CYMBAL MOUNT IS GREAT!!
I have a Led Zep drum kit, but the Ludwig cymbal mount cost double than this Gibraltar, and is likely a better product. Sometimes Bonham used other company products over Ludwig, for example he used a Rogers brand hi hat stand. Its all good!

Every kick drum used to come with one of these space saving ride stands.
Put this on my friends drum kit last fall and got rid of one cymbal stand in the overly crowded practice space. Also saves having one more stand to help carry in to the gig, and for this price, no-brainer for anyone using only one mounted tom.
