Now able to drop cable completely...
This product worked every bit as I expected. I live about 25 to 30 miles from the broadcast antennas in the Boston suburbs. I was looking into getting an attic based antenna as my previous attempt with an antenna designed for HD reception failed miserably. Decided on trying this one after reading enough reviews. As a result I now receive all the local stations. There are some days/evenings whereby the signal gets a little weak on a few of the channels (that I rarely watch anyway), but having saved me from paying almost $30/month for local channels through my cable provider is worth it. Found locating this right by the windows made a big difference...so much so I put a shelf up next to the window for the antenna. Good enough with the first one that I bought a second antenna for my basement. ... This product worked every bit as I expected. Not worth it.
I have a amazon 50 amplified HD antenna, it out performed this by far when I compared them - the reception kept fading and losing signal, I thought the design and patented plate would provide better picture and more channels on the contrary as I said I was shocked how a basic leaf antenna did a much better job. Lastly the stand is not steady to keep moving the antenna around to find a better signal - it literally kept falling apart there are no locks in place it just held in place by hooks that do not provide sufficient grip. Works Well
Works well, but on borderline channels there are 'weak, no signal' during dawn hours, etc. Have taken off the adapter, as it only brings in weak channels which are often ''weak, no signal'. Performs better than most. Am wondering if the native channel tuner on my TV can actually read all of the signals, in other words, if another TV could do better. My TV is a Samsung.

I was surprised with this antenna, I get 61 channels without the extender. The picture is clear. I have to see how it works during stormy weather . But i just purchased 2 more I decided to cancel cable because its getting to costly...

I WAS HAVING TROUBLE WITH AN ANTENNA PURCHASED FROM MY LOCAL BOX STORE FOR ABOUT $25.00. I am 50 miles from LA and and on foggy or rainy days some of the popular stations would fade out or say "no signal". This antenna set up in 5 minutes and got many more small foreign language channels and NBC, CBS, KTLA, FOX and other "big" channels came in much better.
