A small bit of direction. Do the tabs stay on while using the battery? The old one had no tabs and I couldn't find any reference pictures online. All pictures had not tabs.

you ordered the battery with tabs if you notice your order. those tabs are spot welded and cannot be taken off unless you cut them off.
