21st Century Engineering & Wise Design
This is a well-made product with 21st century engineering to make it as safe as possible. Features include a locking plug (push in, rotate to lock), fast and easy access to the collet for changing bits, and both a pistol grip base and a plunge router base as part of the whole package. I think it's a good buy, and I trust the DeWalt name. I bought my last router nearly 40 years ago. I worried a new router of good quality would bankrupt me, but now I wish I had bought this much sooner. It has a good balance, sure start, and sensible safety features. It includes an extra subbase plate in clear plastic (maybe Lexan? Acrylic?) for switching to larger diameter bits. To accomplish this, a cone is included to help center the larger diameter subbase. That keeps the newly installed base centered ... This is a well-made product with 21st century engineering to make it as safe as possible. No chatter, no twisting out of your hand on starting, no weird whining, just quick startup and a steady whirrrr. (Wear hearing protection and safety goggles and don't sue me.) I'm pairing it with Bosch bits, which I like very much. Overall a wisely made and sturdy woodworking machine.

Better than expected!
Arrived earlier than expected and the price was more than competitive. Lightweight but strong. The attachments/accessories are well thought out and sturdy. The "Soft-On" feature makes for a smooth startup. The variable speed dial is very sensitive, providing for excellent cutting without burns and adds bit life. It is easy to clean and store. I highly recommend this product and supplier.

All parts have a solid feel to them. Set up easily and does what it’s supposed to do. Money well spent. 1/4” and 1/2” collets included. Soft start is nice.

User friendly and good quality.
I have only used it twice, but so far I love it. I will say that I don't like the D-handle but that is just me. I don't have good control when using it. The tool has plenty of power and easy to adust depth. Overall it seems to be a great tool.

Very nice bundle. Great starter set if you're looking for a mid-power set. Soft start motor with variable speed. Nice case, also comes with centering jig, and 1/4 and 1/2 collets, wrench. Could find no Cons with this set. You can't go wrong with this set.
