    Best geology hammer made by far!

    This is best geo hammer ever made and I've used about every one and would highly recommend a leather stealth for belt as it makes carrying in the mountains easier when prospecting. Long handle allows a good leverage swing on hard rock and hard points makes for long uses between sharpening!

    A MUST HAVE TOOL FOR A PROSPECTOR/DETECTORIST

    This Estwing rock pick has a long handle that provides for a wide arc swing that is a wrist saver; the weight is sufficient to break through tough caliche. I use it with a plastic scoop for digging metal detector targets instead of a shovel.

    firewood carrier

    I don't use them as rock picks but I discovered there is nothing more ergonomic to the hand and balanced than an Eastwing rock pick stuck in a block of fire wood. So much easier on the back. Eliminates the bending over to pick up wood and works twice as good as a Pickaroon. Thanks.

    Value for money

    Although Estwing are up close to the top cost wise but they are very good value for the money. Rubber handle stops vibration. The quality of the design and manufacture produce a well balanced pick that sits perfectly in the hand.
