    Simple with great performance and basic features.

    The AT&T U2800A is pretty much exceeded my expectations based on reviews. While smaller than I expected, the performance and features were exactly what I had hoped for. The phone was for my elderly mother as a replacement for her flip. At her age, basic features and simplistic are the objective. This phone hits both marks. If the keys were larger the phone would be perfect.The features and options are not highlighted well as a result of a poorly compiled and composed instruction manual(s). In my opinion, this phone deserves more respect and should have been positioned better in the market.

    Great voice phone - poor feature phone

    I became tired of smartphones, so I ordered other more simple phones to try out. This was one of many. After this phone arrived, I discovered that it was originally designed for the AT&T GO prepaid line. As a basic voice phone, it is great. It is small and fits easily in my front pocket or in the palm of my hand. The basic phone services is adequate. However, as to a feature phone, it is not. If you need a neet, clean replacement phone for your AT&T subscription, at a price you can easily afford, then you have found the phone. But if you want a little more modern feel, then I suggest you look further. I did not choose to use this one. It remains in the box as a spare just in case my primary choice dies or gets borken.

    Misleading Specs

    Bought based on the specs at the AT&T site. Made the assumption that it would be like the Nokia 2320 it was replacing only better because it has 3G. Boy was i wrong. The first major issue for me was that you can not connect it to a computer to transfer wallpapers and ring tones even though that is one of the things it lists in the specs. There are no games on the phone and you can not install any from Mobile Rated or anywhere else. The specs say games are available at the AT&T app store but there are none listed. Apparently this phone will not run any Java apps. I could not install Opera mini or Google maps like i could on my 2320. The phone comes with one wallpaper and one ringtone and no settings for individual or group ring tones. Also no way to change the phone navigation settings and ...

    BSET VALUE FOR LOW COST & HIGH PERFORMANCE.

    The first 3G basic cell phone for people that want a PHONE not an entertainment device! Works perfectly. Clear, Loud, Easy to use! Just exactly what a cell phone SHOULD be. Great reception, no dropped calls, uses 3G channels so you don't drop calls or sound like you're talking in an aquarium. Just put your AT&T SIM card in one and talk away. Great replacement for broken or lost contract phones. AT&T got this one RIGHT! Buy one and you won't regret it unless you want an entertainment toy instead of a cell phone.

    A good cheap phone for the very few of us who only need a telephone.

    This is a VERY SIMPLE phone! There is no Bluetooth, camera, GPS, or music player. It simply makes and receives phone calls. Good reception! The places that were "dead zones" with other phones are not with this one. The sound quality is clear and loud. My 63-year-old ears, with or without the hearing aids, work fine with this phone. This phone takes a "standard" handsfree with a 3.5 mm plug. It is a 3G phone so it will continue working on the AT&T network even after 2G service has been obsoleted. Easily unlockable so it can be used with local SIM cards overseas. Not the smallest phone in the world, but it fits OK in my packet. Comes with a USB cable for charging, but cannot communicate with a computer to download ringtones or wallpaper. With light call usage, it easily goes 3-4 ...
