10 to 12 years ago I used to love to play Sim City on my desktop PC. I would spend hours laying out the design of my city. I took pride in the efficiency of my waste plant and police and fire management. When I started playing on the medium level I enjoyed the challenge of keeping my city budget in the black. Although the Wii version dumbs down some of the options it still brings the majority of the experience over to the Wii platform. Young kids will enjoy making a city grow, then saving the city and dropping some monsters in the middle to cause some Godzilla like destruction. The screen orientation can get frustrating at times due to the Wii remote being a little sensitive. However I still found enjoyment in building my city and taking part in some of the tasks like getting the mayor to a strike. Or bombing a building with the helicopter. All in all both my son who is 8 and I (at 41) could find joy in playing this game. Even better is you can find used versions online for $15 or less.Read full review
I have several copies of Sim City for the Super NES and Sim City 2000 and this isnt anything close to the 2000 version at all. If you took the SNES version, updated its graphics, controls, tutorials, video and added a new water/sanitation system to your city... this is what it would look like! Its oozing nostalgia from the old SNES days and thats a great thing here.. for the longest time I didnt realize this was released in the US, or I would have picked up several copies of it here. Great for learning how to design/build and run a city on your own! If you never played sim city ... or want a new completely overhauled version from the old days... this is perfect for you. Plus its cheaper then many Wii games here so definitely a great buy all the way around!

Great real life thinking game that you can add your own silliness to. Did not hold the attention of my 7 year old but my 11 year old has really enjoyed setting up his city and learning about impacts of certain decisions he makes.
this is a good game however it has a few side effects... this game might contain the ability to age you 10 years each time you play it. i have played this game only once and am now a 67 year old man. It was all worthin it once mhy city was up and running. I am now an owled mayor. Some times i felt like eating ribs while play9ing this game. not texas ribs but more like a dry, memphis rib. maybe with a side of greens and mac and cheese. i hope to enter my rib recipe at the rib cook off later this summer. this game may suck your soul out of your eyeballs.
Purchased for family member. Bought it with the buy it now feature to be sure I won it. Bidding is fun, but buy it now means I don't have to worry about being outbid. Game works well and is used often.
