Some connectivity issues and one of the tweets is cutting in/out but uncertain if external wiring to amp or the tweet/crossover is compromised, plus the tweets not best sound for their role. Good Passive Speakers for the MONEY.
Great for the money, however they are very bright on the upper end. I also own the 10in powered version of these speakers and they are more well rounded in their upper end. If you don't want the highs, I would recommend the 8in model by Rockville. However you look at it, they are worth the money.

It was hard to believe.
Unbelievable sound for $65. As good or probably better than Behringer. Unlike everything else in its price range, it uses a decent titanium compression driver instead of piezos. That makes all the difference. I have used ElectroVoice speakers in bands since 1990. I needed to put together a personal rehearsal system and have an EV SB2A sub that I wasn't using. It has an extra built in 350W rms power amp to power another sub or a top cabinet. I decided to burn $65 and see if this would work with the SB2A. I pole-mounted it on the sub, fired it up and couldn't have been more pleased. It is very warm sounding and surprisingly loud cabinet. Great bargain
It is nearly impossible to beat this speaker for the price. I use them for an outdoor venue during water ski tournaments. They cover the whole lake.
