Casio recently introduced another version of its popular G-Shock watch series that targets pilots, navigators, and the men and women in the aviation industry. The wristwatch is called the Casio G-Aviation Twin Sensor ga1000-4a wristwatch. As the name implies, these G-Shock watches are thoroughly built and engineered to be durable. The ga1000-4a Casio watch is water-resistant to 200 meters and shock-resistant. It is a large-sized, quartz-driven sports watch designed for aviators but appealing to both men and women. This timepiece has bright orange letters imprinted on the large and rugged black base and is coupled with a matching, comfortable resin strap. The strap firmly, securely, and comfortably attaches the watch to the wearer. The watch strap is long enough to fit over shirt sleeves or rain gear when constant attention to the time is required. The Casio ga-1000-4a watch makes a strong fashion statement for men, owing to its size and bright color. This G-Shock watch houses both a digital and an analog clock. The analog watch has easy-to-read numbers printed in orange on the edge of the dial face. The analog clock is centered on the watch face and is easy to read. The digital readout is below the analog center point of the watch. A button on the side of the watch operates the different functions of the watch. There is an illuminator to light up the dial on this G-Shock watch for low-light conditions. The GA-1000 has a feature that allows for referencing different time zones. There is a stopwatch with a countdown feature and a time signal that could be used to warn of low fuel levels. There is also a digital thermometer and a compass feature that is invaluable to pilots. These G-Shock watches serve in all weather conditions as stopwatches, altimeters, compasses, and thermometers. They have specialized alarm functions and multiple time zone referencing to accommodate diverse professions and sports. The watches are powered by reliable quartz drives and are ruggedly built for men and women whose professions require shock and water resistant watches. Casio G-Shock watches are engineered and designed to be worn while at work but are stylish enough to be worn for a night on the town.

    Great looking watch

    This is a great watch for the money. I purchased a black band for it only because the orange band that it comes with is a little flashy for me. I recommend getting a black band, you'll need a small allen type wrench to unscrew the original band off; easy enough to do by just getting the two screws out on each side.

    Moderate weight with no great future.

    This watch is not a made in Japan. I am deeply disappointed because it is only Japan movement. I thought it is a made in Japan. I have two pocket watches of Japan movement, one is not work- ing after only few years of usage. I truly wish this world recognize authenticity. Stop making mixed products. Thank you.     Great water and hiking watch.

    This is my fourth casio and for the $ it is in my opinion the best watches on the market. My original g shock is on it's third 10 year battery!!!!!! I purchased it in the early 90's and have used it for work and play, using it in water sports. My other two are solar watches with temperature and compass functions. Again for the price these watches can not be beat.
