OK, but Limited Capability
These clamps are OK as they are. The limitation is that in order to use the full adjustment capability, it needs to be mounted on a block. A 3" block that would allow the hinge adjustments to travel from 0-6" above the surface. Or better said, you will have a +_3" movement from any height you choose for your block. I suppose it's a less expensive version of a more expensive fully adjustable clamp that has dual adjustments. Not only for the screen, but for adjusting the overall height of the clamp itself. I suppose these clamp have more versatility in mounting options, but require more prep work than just mounting the hinge to your surface.These clamps are OK as they are. Ok, these are super fantastic but...
The only thing I felt was a tiny bit wrong was the finishing on one of the hinges. I truly wish this to be constructive criticism and not putting the product down. It needed a bit of dremeling/sanding to make it more smooth. Some of the edges were sharp enough to really cut yourself if you aren't careful. One hinge was a 9/10, the other was a 5.6-6/10. There was some slag metal on the edges in multiple places, possibly from the weld or cut of the steel. Not a deal breaker, but felt a little unsafe. Take some medium grit sand paper or a Dremel to do some of the remaining finishing work if you must. So apart from that, these things will be just what I need. Definitely better than speedball. Hinge Clamps, really, better than Speedball
The clamps are very good. They feel sturdy and of good quality. I mounted them on a diy screen printing press and they performe really good. The off contact works like a charm. Will buy again in the near future.
