    Does the job

    I didnt know this existed until I started repairing daughters old bike. Discovered it had a freewheel NOT a cassette system. Wondered why the cassette removal tool wouldnt fit. Had to view several Park Tool videos to find out about the difference between freewheel and cassettes. Why Oh why are there so many incompatible systems on bikes? Why do we need so many specialised tools just to fit 1 particular type of bike?

    Sizing

    I am very disappointed as I needed to use this with a Shimano 105 cassette and the external diameter is too big so it does not fit into the locking ring. Nothing in the packing states which Shimano cassettes it does fit. No fault of supplier but Park Tool needs to be more specific so people don’t waste their money.

    Excellent tool

    Bought this tool to remove the Shimano freewheel from our Tandem. With two people peddling, tandems generate a lot of torque, but, this item of equipment is very well made and removed the freewheel, no problem. Did not even need to remove axle or locking nuts, since the FR-1.3 had enough clearance. Very pleased with it.

    Does the job, shame about the price

    I have a shimano freewheel and the tool worked great for it, I was in a rush to get it fixed and heard about this tool. Shame it's overpriced because you could find one that'll do the same job for half the cost from IceToolz - I just didn't know at the time!

    Very good, if a little expensive.

    The adapter was a good close fit on my freewheel and had adequate length for the job. My only negative is the cost, but you expect that with Park Tools.
